A Curse Upon Ye Facebook Hackers!

Well, as some of you may have noticed, Kirkcaldy is no longer on Facebook. As fate would have it, after having been hacked over a series of weeks, it was decided to delete the account. Ah but by deleting that account, so went the Famous Groupies Facebook page. Yes, that innocent bystander was also lost to the tragedy that is the Facebook drama.

But not to worry, you can always reach us here and we will be updating regularly with news on the new album (which is currently under construction), as well as other related subjects.

And speaking of other related subjects, I received some cat pictures today from Orange Records. It seems that our new mascot, Rambo, is doing quite well and is now "officially" an indoor cat. (see pics below). Yes, this wonder cat is enjoying life indoors and wanting for nothing. Traci, the kind woman who has taken Rambo in for the remainder of his twilight years, she says that he is totally a lap cat and will spend hours on any warm lap he can find.

She also said that Rambo is much like a dog in that he follows everyone around just to see where they are going. We are all delighted that Rambo is all fixed up, healthy, clean and living the good life. All of this is thanks to you, you kind hearted folks who donated so generously to his surgery. We can't thank you enough, but we hope a new double album will suffice.

And speaking of the new double album. It is officially decided that Black Apple will be a double album filled with ALL new songs. No Best Of disc I'm afraid, but we figured this was a better plan all the way around. So, you can bet on at least 28 new songs or more. It may take us a bit extra time to finish, what with all the extra songs we have added, but we hope it will be worth the wait. We think so.

It's been fun tracking the new songs so far -and composing for brass instruments. A few of these tunes certainly have a Band On The Run vibe, which we think you will like. Big Orchestral vibes with real instruments, no samples. The real deal.
